More about me:
If you feel stuck in the same patterns—whether that’s in your relationships, your thoughts, or how you respond to stress—you’re not alone. A lot of people come into therapy knowing something isn’t working, but not quite sure how to change it. That’s where I come in.
I work with individuals and couples who are ready for honest, meaningful progress. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, relationship struggles, anxiety, or anger that feels difficult to manage, my goal is to help you move forward in a way that actually shows up in your day-to-day life.

What It’s Like to Work With Me
When you sit down with me, you can expect a direct, honest approach focused on what’s actually working—and what’s not. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you see patterns more clearly so we can figure out what needs to shift. I’m not here to judge, and I’m not here to just nod along either. I believe therapy works best when we can be honest about what isn’t working and intentional about what needs to change.
My no-nonsense approach to counseling showcases sincerity, patience, humor, and straight honest talk that helps guide you in finding comfort in your own decisions without judgment or ridicule.
My clients leave sessions with valuable information and tools to effectively use in their daily lives.
Couples and Individual Work
For couples, our work often starts by slowing down the conversations that keep turning into conflict and looking at what’s underneath them—miscommunication, defensiveness, or disconnection. From there, we focus on practical ways to rebuild trust, communicate more clearly, and strengthen your relationship. As a Gottman Method–trained therapist, I help couples understand their patterns and build healthier ways to communicate and reconnect.
For individuals, therapy may focus on processing unresolved trauma, understanding emotional triggers, or developing better ways to manage stress, anxiety, or anger. The goal isn’t just insight—it’s helping you respond differently in the moments that matter most.
Trauma Work and EMDR
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and an EMDRIA trained Level II Certified EMDR trauma therapist. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, performance anxiety, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.
My EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training has been particularly helpful for those suffering from debilitating anxiety and depression, complicated PTSD, phobias, performance anxiety, and traumatic experiences such as tragic car accidents and being victims of crime. Also, as someone who has personally been a victim of crime, I understand where clients are coming from when dealing with traumatic events. It is truly rewarding to see clients healing and experiencing freedom through the use of this evidence-based technique.
Faith and Counseling
I combine faith-based principles, proven psychological theories, and clinical training to help clients reach their goals. For those who desire it, I’m comfortable integrating a biblical worldview into our work together. I believe that “the Lord is my shield, my glory, the One who lifts my head high” (Psalm 3:3), and through His wisdom and guidance, I seek to help guide and support clients toward a place of growth, healing, and lasting change.
Real-Life Experience and Perspective
My wide range of experience includes trauma, parenting, marriage, codependency, addiction, anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, crisis, performance enhancement, men’s issues, and group therapy. As a licensed therapist, I am trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Group Therapy, EMDR Trauma Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
My experience in competitive sports and over 20 years of corporate management has taught me the necessity of mental strength and stamina to excel. I guide clients through the maladaptive thought processes that often lead to doubt, fear, and anxiety—patterns that can hold them back from reaching their potential in sports, school, or their careers.
I’ve been married for over 27 years and have two teenaged children. Marriage and family are deeply important to me, and I strive to live out the same principles I share with my clients. I’m especially passionate about working with individuals and couples who are trying to balance the demands of career and family life. Having spent many years in the business world, I understand the pressure that can come with those responsibilities, and I work alongside clients to help them find a healthier sense of balance. I’ve had the privilege of seeing clients strengthen their marriages and build more connected, resilient families.
Getting Started
Clients often tell me they appreciate that our sessions feel both supportive and purposeful. We’re not just talking—we’re working toward something.
At Harvest Counseling & Wellness, I’m part of a team that can support you in a more comprehensive way if needed. Whether that means connecting you with additional services or coordinating care, the goal is to make sure you’re not trying to figure everything out on your own.
If you’re looking for a therapy approach that is honest, practical, and focused on real change, I’d be glad to work with you.
