More about me:
Admitting you need help is a vulnerable place to be. It can feel uncomfortable, frustrating, even scary. You may have thought things would get better once you reached a certain milestone or the next accomplishment. You may have hoped life would give you a break—that you’d finally feel like you could come up for air and take that deep breath you’ve been needing.
But instead, you feel stuck. The road ahead feels uncertain.
Reaching this point—where you’re willing to acknowledge you need support—is often where real change begins. It’s where movement toward peace starts.

What It’s Like to Work With Me
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my role is different from a therapist. While therapy focuses on processing emotions and experiences through conversation, my role is to understand the medical and neurological aspects of what you’re experiencing. I provide diagnosis, help determine whether medication may be helpful, and guide you through those options in a thoughtful and personalized way.
Many clients come to me when they’re looking for clarity—when they’re wondering what’s actually going on or whether medication could help them feel more like themselves again. Others have tried therapy and feel like they need an additional layer of support.
With over 10 years of experience in psychiatry and mental health care, I take an integrative and functional approach that considers the whole person—meaning I look beyond symptoms to understand what may be contributing to what you’re experiencing and help you decide whether medication, lifestyle changes, or other supports will best move you forward.
My goal is to build a long-term, trusting relationship with you—not simply prescribe a medication and send you on your way. I take a holistic approach to psychiatric care, combining medication management with supportive, solution-focused conversations when helpful. This may also include integrative strategies such as mind-body practices, functional nutrition, and building sustainable lifestyle habits.
I have an approachable and warm style that allows you to feel valued, respected and heard no matter where you are in your mental health or faith journey. My work is shaped by a biblical worldview, which informs how I think about mental health, healing, and the role of medication. I strive to create an environment where you feel valued, respected, and heard. I also often work alongside therapists to ensure your care is well-coordinated and aligned.
Clinical Experience & Background
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from UT Arlington and bring over 10 years of experience in psychiatry and mental health care.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, including residential treatment centers, community health clinics, inpatient hospitals, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and private practice.
I’ve had the opportunity to work at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, as well as adult and geriatric hospitals across the DFW area. These experiences have allowed me to care for patients across the lifespan, from children as young as six to older adults.
My clinical approach integrates knowledge of neurobiology, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and integrative psychiatry to help you work toward your specific goals in a thoughtful and individualized way.
A Bit More About Me
I also bring personal understanding into my work, having experienced anxiety and panic myself. That perspective helps me connect with patients in a way that goes beyond clinical knowledge alone.
My wife and I were blessed with four daughters within three years and only by the grace of God have we survived the lack of sleep this long! Physical fitness and pool time with the family are priorities and I love a good jam session on the guitar or ukulele. Some of my completed bucket list items were finishing an Ironman and competing on a CrossFit team in Dallas. Next on the list - skiing in Switzerland and going to Yellowstone!
I look forward to meeting you!
What Is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner?
A psychiatric nurse practitioner (PNP) is a licensed medical provider who helps diagnose mental health conditions and determine whether medication or other medical supports may be helpful.
While therapists focus on talk therapy and emotional processing, a PNP focuses on the medical and biological aspects of mental health—helping you understand what’s happening in your brain and body and what treatment options may support you best.
A PNP can provide:
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
Diagnosis of mental health conditions
Medication management tailored to your needs
Genetic testing (when helpful for medication decisions)
Natural supplement education and integrative care
Ongoing support and follow-up care
Our approach combines medical expertise with a whole-person perspective, so your care plan may include traditional medication along with complementary strategies like lifestyle changes, nutrition support, and mind-body practices—depending on your needs and preferences.
